Hi, I’m Kaycia Ogata—founder and principal designer of Joyko Studio, a multidisciplinary design studio based in Portland, Oregon. Since launching in 2021, I’ve brought decades of experience in the branding space and built a reputation as a thoughtful, easygoing creative partner.
Rooted in an elegant and understated aesthetic, my work is driven by a deep passion for visual storytelling and a belief that great design reflects the essence of the people behind the brand. I collaborate 1:1 with clients on brand creation, refreshes, and implementation, and also partner with agencies on a project or retainer basis.
When I’m not designing, you’ll find me in my backyard pottery studio, drawing in my sketchbook, exploring the outdoors, or traveling the world in search of everyday magic.
IN HONOR & MEMORY
My mother and grandmother were the two most important women in my life. My mother’s name was Joyce, my grandmother, Yoneko. To honor the profound impact they had on me as an artist and woman, and bringing the spirit of aloha that I was raised with – Joyko Studio was born.
