A refresh for a distinctly new audience.
Distinct, a creative platform dedicated to highlighting and promoting upcoming fine artists, designers, and performers, required a comprehensive refresh following nearly a decade of its establishment in order to better cater to a new and evolving audience. The overall brand aesthetic needed a significant update to effectively appeal to a younger demographic that seeks fresh inspiration. To remain true to the brand's core message of "inspiring the culturally curious," we developed an experimental mark utilizing simple geometric shapes. This mark had to be bold and dynamic, embodying the vibrant energy of the artists in the archive as well as the emerging talents it aims to inspire, all while ensuring that it remains easily readable. With the anticipated launch of Distinct 2.0, the platform will primarily function as an extensive archive, necessitating a complete overhaul of the UX/UI to accommodate this important role. The new design boasts a vibrant and engaging color palette, along with minimalist navigation, creating a seamless experience for users exploring the rich content.
